Capacities
Flexible, high-capacity storage for your laboratory needs
With extreme flexibility to support various types of laboratory materials, the capacity specifications are standardized for MTP-equivalent plates with a height of 17 mm (including the lid). The StoreX Series instruments have capacities ranging from 44 plates to over 3,000 MTP-equivalent plates.
Configurations

LiCONiC incubators are designed for seamless integration into fully automated laboratory applications. Three product families have been developed to meet different integration needs: bench-top (BT), standalone (SA), and under-platform integration (IT).
Increased flexibility is also provided by allowing users to freely choose the type and location of the transfer station (side, back, or top).

The temperature-controlled small transfer door ensures extremely stable environmental conditions for testing. Ultra-fast access times with the iMotion option enable controlled handling of highly sensitive samples that require frequent loading and unloading by a robotic platform.

The StoreX range offers a variety of options to meet the specific needs of your laboratory. Available choices include custom transfer stations, iMotion systems for fast sample handling, and advanced SafeErase decontamination options. Additional options include fast gas injection (CO2, nitrogen (N2), or oxygen (O2)), barcode readers for optimal traceability, and management tools such as orbital and linear shakers or modular cassettes.

STR – Compact Automated Incubators

The STR series is designed as a compact workstation solution while retaining the advanced features of the STX line. STR incubators provide optimized sample access through a periscope lifting system, delivering samples directly through the top surface of the instrument. This compact design allows for ideal integration under any pipetting or liquid handling station, placing samples directly on the workstation platform. LiCONiC's exclusive technology ensures frequent sample access while maintaining optimal environmental control. The STR series accommodates various types of consumables, including microtiter plates, deep-well plates, culture flasks, and bioreactor tubes. StoreX STR44
Compact Automated Incubator for Small-Scale Integration
The STR44 is the smallest member of the STR family, with a capacity of 44 MTP microplates. It shares the same width as the STX44 and the same depth as the STX220. Its compact size makes it perfectly suited for small-scale integrations and miniaturized applications, particularly in space-constrained environments.

STS
STS - Automated Incubators with Programmable Illumination
A Breakthrough for Optogenetics and Plant Biology Research
The LiCONiC STS series is the first on the market to offer a solar incubator with fully automated random-access plate handling and programmable illumination across the full light spectrum. The STS15 model, with a capacity of 15 MTP plates, is designed to meet the specific needs of optogenetics in cell culture and plant research, as well as cyanobacteria studies. Featuring ultra-bright light sources and programmable control, the STS opens new possibilities for synthetic biology.

Automated Incubator with Programmable Lighting
The STS series consists of a single model, the STS15, with a capacity of 15 MTP plates. Optimized for optogenetic approaches in mammalian cell culture as well as plant (protoplast) and cyanobacteria research, the STS15 opens new opportunities in these scientific fields, boosting synthetic biology processes.

- Ground-Level Integration Design: The STS15 is designed for floor-level integration, with climate and management controls located in the lower part of the unit, while the upper section houses the complex programmable lighting system.
- Robotic Access Portal: The robotic access portal is located at the top of the chamber, optimizing laboratory bench space. The unit can easily be placed without needing to be mounted on a table.
STF
STF - Automated Incubators for Cell Culture Flasks
Efficient Flask Handling with Frequent Access and Controlled Climate
The STF series from LiCONiC is the first to offer an incubator specifically designed for cell culture flasks, making them as easy to handle as microplates. The STF130 model, unique in this range, can hold 130 straight-neck 175 cm³ cell culture flasks. With an innovative design, these incubators allow extremely frequent access while maintaining stable climate conditions inside the chamber. Flasks are handled via an internal shuttle system, ensuring secure transfer and minimizing gas exchange through a small, automatically controlled door. This setup guarantees an optimal environment for precise testing and facilitates integration into automated lab systems.
StoreX STF130
Automated Incubator for Cell Culture Flasks
The STF series consists of a single model, the STF130, designed to store 130 straight-neck 175 cm³ cell culture flasks. The flasks are arranged in cassettes inside the incubation chamber.
Features
Transfer Station: A transfer station is located in front of the access door. Full manual access is ensured with a large user door and removable stackers (cassettes).
- Fully Remote Operation: The handling and climate control are entirely remote-controlled, allowing full random access to all plates.
- Scoop Handling System: The STF uses LiCONiC’s scoop handling system, transporting flasks by loading them onto an extended surface (scoop) during transfer.
- Integrated Robotic Handling: The robotic handling system is fully contained within the incubation chamber. It includes a turntable that holds the removable stackers and a lifting mechanism that transports a flask between any stacker position and the external transfer station.
- Sliding Station: Flasks can be transferred directly into an observation station, preserving the environmental conditions necessary for precise testing.
- Customizable Delivery Portal: The delivery portal can be located at the rear or center-right or left of the incubator, allowing the unit to be positioned in the desired orientation. Multiple portals are also possible.
- Simplified Integration: The STF portal simplifies integration by avoiding obstacles in the access area.
- Identical Dimensions: The physical dimensions of all STF130 units are identical, regardless of climate options.
STL
STL – Automated High-Capacity Incubators
Mass Storage for Controlled or Uncontrolled Environments
The STL series is the ideal choice for high-capacity storage needs, offering capacities ranging from 3,000 to 20,000 MTP plates or over 1.5 million 0.3 ml vials. STL incubators are designed to handle extremely frequent access while maintaining ultra-stable climate conditions inside the controlled chamber. This system is perfectly suited for both small-scale storage applications and large-scale incubation needs. The STL series can be equipped with various packages, options, and accessories to meet specific requirements. A range of temperature settings, from -20°C to +70°C, along with high or low humidity options, are available to ensure an optimal environment depending on the application.
StoreX STL5k
Powerful System for Small-Scale Storage or Large-Scale Incubation
The StoreX STL5k is an extremely powerful entry-level system, ideal for small storage systems or large-scale incubation applications.
